Week 17
With 5-4 and 4-3 wins over Ebenezer losing the ‘nightcap’ 6-2, Dryland maintains 1st place in the Dart League. Hitters for Dryland included Earl Sigley 6 for 13, Shawn Sigley 5 for 12, Larry Golick 4 for 10 and Butch Silfies 4 for 12. Paul Yoder was 8 for 14, Joey Blevins 4 for 11, Joe Kish 4 for 12 with HR’s from Jim Voortman, Scott Blevins, Zane Blevins, and Charlie Costanzo for Ebenezer.
After losing the ‘opener’ 4-3 to Star of Bethlehem, Christ UCC came back to win 8-1 and 5-3. Leading the way for Christ UCC were Garry Hunsicker 7 for 14, Sue Gasper 5 for 10, Dave Shaver 5 for 10, with George Gasper and Keith Laudenslager each hitting a HR. For Star of Bethlehem Kyle Taylor was 5 for 11, Walt Hoffert 5 for 12 and Austin Hoffert with a HR.
In the only ‘sweep’ of the night we find St. Paul’s beating Emmanuel by scores of 3-1, 3-1, and 4-3. Top hitters included Alan Antry 4 for 11 and Jennifer Erkinger 4 for 12 for St. Paul’s, while Jon Rice was 5 for 12, Chuck Achenzie also 5 for 12, and Bob Bast 4 for 12 for Emmanuel.
The final match of the night saw Light of Christ ‘sandwiching 3-2 and 8-1 wins around a6-3 loss to Farmersville. Leading the Light of Christ hitters was Norm Schoenberger 5 for 12(HR), Eric Harper 5 for 13, Terry Knauss 5 for 14 with HR’s from Chuck Crisaft and Charlie Mann. For Farmersville, Sue Grim was 7 for 11, Tom George 6 for 11, and Wade Chilmonik 5 for 10.
Week 16
This week we find Dryland moving back into sole possession of 1st place by ‘sandwiching’ 11-1 and 6-2 wins around a 4-1 loss to Christ UCC. Leading the way for Dryland were Bernie Yurko 8 for 14, Dave Crouthamel 7 for 13, Shawn Sigley 5 for 13, Nate Phares 5 for 13, Larry Golick 5 for 14 and Jim Goldman with a HR. For Christ UCC, Ed Yost 4 for 10(HR), Donny Laudenslager 4 for 11(HR) with HR’s from John Eisenrich and Jason Matula.
After a 3-1 loss to Star of Bethlehem, Light of Christ came back to win 3-2 and 1-0. Hitters included Dan Halteman and Andy Mickelson each going 6 for 11, with Terry Knauss 4 for 13(HR) for Light of Christ, while Bill Hoke Jr. was 3 for 11, Austin Hoffert 3 for 12, and Tyler Frankenfield with a HR.
In other action, Emmanuel ‘sandwiched’ wins of 5-2 and 1-0 in 10 innings around a 4-2 loss to Farmersville. For Emmanuel, Bob Bast, Jon Rice and Jim Hill all had ‘3 hits’ apiece with Al Nesbitt hitting 2 HR’s(a 3 run HR in the bottom of the 9th inning of Game 1 to win the game and a HR in the bottom of 10TH inning to win Game 3). Wade Chilmonik was 4 for 9 and Ben Kerbaugh 4 for 12 for Farmersville.
The final match of the night saw St. Paul’s beating 7-4 and 3-2, losing the ‘opener’ 7-6 to Ebenezer. Leading hitters for St. Paul’s were Rich Kern 8 for 13, John Hoysan also 8 for 13 and Roger Kern 5 for 14. For Ebenezer,(the team hitting 11 triples for the night) Joe Kish was 6 for 12, Paul Yoder 5 for 12, Joey Blevins 5 for 12(hitting the cycle for the night), Jim Voortman 4 for 12 and Carol Voortman with a HR.
Make up Game - January 2
Dryland fell into a tie for first place as Farmersville won 2-1 and 6-5 while losing 7-1. Farmersville was led by Kyle Campbell 5 for 10, Ben Kerbaugh and Dennis Koehler both going 4 for 11 and Tom George 4 for 12. Dryland hitters included Larry Golick 6 for 11, Bernie Yurko 6 for 13, Butch Silfies 5 for 13, Earl Sigley 5 for 14, Shawn Sigley 4 for 11 and Karen Krome with a HR.
Week 15
With a ‘sweep’ of Farmersville by scores of 6-1, 2-0, and 4-3 in 10 innings, Dryland moves back into 1st place in the Dart League. Hitters for Dryland were Shawn Sigley 6 for 11, Bernie Yurko 5 for 12 and Rich Durn 4 for 13(HR with 2 outs in the 10th inning of game 3). For Farmersville, Luke George was 5 for 7, Sue Grim 4 for 12 and Ben Kerbaugh 4 for 13.
Star of Bethlehem lost to St. Paul’s 7-2 after winning the 1st 2 games 3-2 and 2-1. Leading the way for Star of Bethlehem was Jacob Hoffert 7 for 13 with Maya Stickler hitting a HR, while Rich Kern was 7 for 13, with Jennifer Erkinger and Kevin Gross each going 6 for 13.

Despite losing a pair of games to Emmanuel 3-2 and 7-4, winning the middle game 6-4, Dryland remains in 1st place. Leading hitters for Emmanuel were Jon Rice 6 for 12(including a 2 run HR in the 9th inning to win Game 1), Troy Haydt 5 for 14(HR), Judy Hoffert(HR), Jeff Hoffert and Bob Bast each going 4 for 12. For Dryland Larry Golick was 6 for 13, Jim Goldman and Nate Phares 5 for 12 apiece, Butch Silfies 5 for 13, and Earl Sigley 5 for 14.

In the ‘Battle” for 1st place, it was Dryland staying on top of the Dart League beating Star of Bethlehem 2-1 in 11 innings and 6-1, losing the ‘nightcap’ 2-1. Leading the way for Dryland was Butch Silfies 6 for 12, Dave Crouthamel 5 for 13 and Nate Phares 5 for 14. Bill Hoke Jr. was 5 for 13 for Star of Bethlehem.
In the only ‘sweep’ of the night, we see Christ UCC winning 7-1, 2-0, and 3-2 over St. Paul’s. Top hitters included Garry Hunsicker 6 for 11, Donnie Laudenslager 5 for 11(hitting for the cycle for the night including a HR). For St. Paul's, Jennifer Erkinger, Kevin Gross, and Tom Unger all had ‘3 hits’ apiece and Amber Gross added a HR.

Dryland/Trinity extended their winning streak to 12 games as they swept St. Paul’s 7-6 in 11 innings, 10-7 in 10 innings and 3-2 and into first place. Dryland/Trinity was led by Nate Phares 8 for 12, Dave Crouthamel 7 for 14, Earl Sigley 7 for 16, Bernie Yurko and Butch Silfies both 5 for 14. Hitting for St. Paul’s were Roger Kern 9 for 15, Kevin Gross and Paul Slimmon both 5 for 14, and Jen Erkinger 5 for 15.
It was Emmanuel beating Star of Bethlehem 2-1 and 6-1, losing the ‘nightcap’ 3-2. For Emmanuel, Chuck Achenzie was 6 for 12, Jon Rice 4 for 11, with the Hoffert’s, Jeff and Judy going 4 for 11 also. Scott Hoffert was 5 for 12, Bill Hoke Sr. 4 for 11, Bryan Frankenfield 4 for 12, and Nolan Hoffert with a HR for Star of Bethlehem.

Garry Hunsicker was 5 for 12(HR), Dave Shaver also 5 for 12 and Kevin Biechy with a HR for Christ UCC.
It was Dryland ‘sweeping’ Ebenezer 9-4, 9-3, and 5-2 to move into 2nd place. Leading the charge for Dryland were Butch Silfies 7 for 14, Earl Sigley, Shawn Sigley, and Bernie Yurko all going 7 for 15, and Nate Phares 4 for 13(HR). For Ebenezer, Paul Yoder and Jim Voortman each went 4 for 12, and Zane Blevins had 2 HR’s.

Top hitters included Dave Crouthamel 5 for 11(HR), Lou Dervarics 5 for 11, Butch Silfies 5 for 12 and Larry Golick 4 for 12 for Dryland. Vic Pacchioni went 6 for 13, Joe Kish 5 for 12, Paul Yoder 5 for 13, Brendan Blevins 4 for 12(HR) and John Wieand with a HR for Ebenezer.
In other action, after losing the ‘opener’ 1-0 to Emmanuel, St. Paul’s won the next 2 games 3-2 and 7-1. Leading hitters for St. Paul’s were Roger Kern 7 for 11, Rich Kern 4 for 12 with HR’s from Larry Kneller(2) and Tom Unger. For Emmanuel, Jon Rice was 6 for 12 and Judy Hoffert had ‘3 hits’
The last match saw Light of Christ beating Farmersville 4-0 and 2-1 in 14 innings losing the ‘nightcap’ 1-0. For Light of Christ, Andy Mickelson was 7 for 14, Todd Jones 5 for 13(HR) and Norm Schoenberger 4 for 13, with Dave Campbell going 4 for 10 for Farmersville.
Week 2
With a ‘sweep’ of Light of Christ by scores of 7-5, 17-14(they must have playing football) and 4-3 in 11 innings, Star of Bethlehem moves into sole possession of 1st place. Leading the way for Star of Bethlehem were Kyle Taylor 7 for 14, Walt and Scott Hoffert 6 for 15 each, Tyler Frankenfield 5 for 15(HR), and Zoie Coranodo 4 for 13(HR). Andy Mickelson was 7 for 14, Eric Harper 6 for 15(HR), Norm Schoenberger 5 for 14, with a HR from Todd Jones for Light of Christ.
Christ UCC lost the ‘nightcap’ 1-0 after winning 4-1 and 2-0 over defending ‘Champs’ Dryland. Top hitters for Christ UCC were Dave Shaver 4 for 7(HR), Eric Yocum 4 for 11(HR), with HR’s from Susie Gasper and Steve Hunsicker, and Keith Laudenslager with a “Base on Balls”. For Dryland, Butch Silfies was 5 for 11, Earl Sigley 5 for 12, Rich Durn 4 for 10, and Lou Dervarics 4 for 11.
In other action, after losing the ‘opener’ 4-2 to St. Paul’s, Ebenezer came back to win 5-2 and 2-1 in 14 innings(on John Weiand‘s HR). Hitters included Paul Yoder 6 for 13(HR), Conner Lankey 4 for 14, Charlie Constanzo 4 for 14 and a HR from Joey Blevins, while John Hoysan went 5 for 14, Paul Slimmon also 5 for 14, and Larry Kneller 4 for 13 for St. Paul’s.
The final match of the night saw Emmanuel ‘sandwiching’ 7-2 and 3-2 wins around a 2-1 loss to Farmersville. For Emmanuel, Chuck Achenzie was 4 for 11, Kim Williams 3 for 9, with HR’s from Al Nesbit and Jon Rice. Sue Grim and Gene Grim were 5 for 12 each for Farmersville.
Week 1
As we return from the summer, we find a 4 way tie for 1st place in the Dart League. Defending “Champs” Dryland ‘sandwiched’ 5-0 & 5-3 wins around a 2-1 loss to Farmersville. Hitters for Dryland were Shawn Sigley 5 for 12, Bernie Yurko 4 for 12 & Earl Sigley with a HR. For Farmersville, Kyle Campbell was 4 for 11 & Tom George 4 for 12.
Star of Bethlehem beat St. Paul’s 2-0 & 7-3, losing the ‘nightcap’ 5-4. Leading hitters for Star of Bethlehem were Scott Hoffert & Bill Hoke Jr. each going 5 for 12, while Rich Kern went 6 for 12 & John Hoysan 5 for 10 for St. Paul’s.
After losing 7-0 to Light of Christ, Christ UCC came back to win 4-2 & 5-1. For Christ UCC, Jason Matula had a 3 run HR in Game 2 with Garry Hunsicker hitting a 2 run HR in Game 3. For Light of Christ, Norm Schoenberger was 6 for 12 & Steve Harper 4 for 10. Also, there was 3 ‘Stole Home’ for the night with Light of Christ 2 & Christ UCC 1.
The final match of the night saw Ebenezer ‘sandwiching’ 5-4 & 7-3 wins around a 5-4 loss to Emmanuel. Top hitters for Ebenezer included Brendan Blevins 7 for 12, Carol Voortman 6 for 13 with HR’s from Jim Voortman & Zane Blevins. Jim Hill was 5 for 12, Al Nesbit 4 for 11 with HR’s from Bob Bast & Jeremiah Amiani for Emmanuel.
The final match of the night saw Ebenezer beating Christ UCC 3-1 and 1-0(on
